Jeep profile: It’s copper in colour with a black hard top, chromed 15 inch steel wheels, stainless steel rear bumperettes, tow hitch and standard front bumper. Equipped with a T-5, it has extremely tall gear ratios, which make it feel car-like but the Dana 300’s granny low gearing makes it quite capable off-road. Originally acquired with an antiquated Toyota 3.0L NA diesel engine, the Jeep now has a V8. Apart from the engine, even after 23 years this Jeep has surprisingly retained most of its originality – it even came with the original space saver donut spare tire!
I’ve also gotten my grubby paws on a 1994 YJ for the time being. Its a bundle of fun!
Hi,
We are thinking of driving from amsterdam to calcutta, east india in a volkswagen 80’s camper, starting sept. 06. We were hoping that you might have time to answer a few questions.
Do you think a two wheel drive small camper will make it to lahore via south pakistan.
Following the recent cartoon episode, would a foreign (dutch) license plate be a problem?
In case the camper breaks down, could we easily get spare parts?
I really appreciate you taking the time to do this.

I too own a Copper ‘82 CJ-7 Jeep Jamboree. Everything original except the paint and rims. I painted it after an accident but same color. I have number 401 and I just passed 100,000 miles on the original engine this year. (2006)
