Born on the 22nd of February, 1979. I figured out whilst still crawling that 4×4s are part of the divine scheme of things. I like my life in the city because it makes me long for the outdoors. I enjoy creature comforts but working on my Jeep on a Saturday afternoon has its own pleasure.

Owner's motto: In the pursuit of pleasure, I work hard so that I can play hard.

Favorite song: With or without you - U2

Favorite movie: Last of the Mohicans

Yaseen's CJ7 Vehicle: 1982 Jeep CJ-7 Jamboree 30th Anniversary Commemorative Edition Issue No. 0044 of 2500

Purchased: 2004

Rebuilt: Not yet

Engine: 3.0L Toyota B with free flow 2.25" exhaust

Transmission: Borg-Warner T5

Transfer Case: Dana 300

Front Axle: Dana 30, 3.31:1 R/P ratio

Rear Axle: AMC 20, 3.31:1 R/P ratio

Tires: Dunlop SP/RV Major (31×10.50)

Wheels: Original Jeep 15" chromed wheels

Suspension: Original CJ-7 leaf springs with KYB shock absorbers

Steering: CJ-7 steering column with Mercedes steering box

Lighting: Bosch H4 with Osram silverstar bulbs, KC H3 fog lamps

Sound system: Pioneer CD/tape player with 4-speaker sound system

Other Specs: Under-hood and under-body worklights, functional seat belts, Tilt steering, center console, half doors, full doors, hard top and padded roll bar

Jeep profile: It's copper in colour with a black hard top, chromed 15 inch steel wheels, stainless steel rear bumperettes, tow hitch and standard front bumper. Equipped with a T-5, it has extremely tall gear ratios, which make it feel car-like but the Dana 300's granny low gearing makes it quite capable off-road. After 23 years this Jeep surprisingly has retained most of its originality - it even has its original spare tire!

Hi,
We are thinking of driving from amsterdam to calcutta, east india in a volkswagen 80's camper, starting sept. 06. We were hoping that you might have time to answer a few questions.
Do you think a two wheel drive small camper will make it to lahore via south pakistan.
Following the recent cartoon episode, would a foreign (dutch) license plate be a problem?
In case the camper breaks down, could we easily get spare parts?
I really appreciate you taking the time to do this.

I too own a Copper '82 CJ-7 Jeep Jamboree. Everything original except the paint and rims. I painted it after an accident but same color. I have number 401 and I just passed 100,000 miles on the original engine this year. (2006)
